IACA's input to the European Commission's report on implementation of PRM regulation 1107/2006
According to the provisions of EU Regulation 1107/2006 (PRM Regulation), the European Commission should report by 1 January 2010 on the implementation of the Regulation.
In this respect, the consultancy firm Steer Davies Gleave has been selected by the Commission to report on the Regulation.
The final report should be submitted by the consultancy within six months of the signing of the contract (end of April 2010).

IACA's response to the European Commission's Consultation on Financing of Aviation Security.
A. Introduction
Art. 22 of Regulation (EC) No. 300/2008 on common rules in the field of civil aviation security obliges the European Commission to present a report on the principles concerning the financing of related security costs. In June 2008, the Commission has launched a consultation process in order to gather stakeholders' views on this matter.
Through this Position Paper, the International Air Carrier Association (IACA) wishes to contribute to the debate from the perspective of leisure airlines.

IACA Position on Airport Charges (TRAN Amendments)
The European Commission published its Proposal for a Directive on Airport Charges on 24th January 2007. This Proposal is now subject to a co-decision procedure by the European Parliament and Council.
The Parliament?s Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) will now vote on the draft Report by MEP Ulrich Stockmann, as well as on the 170 amendments that have been tabled.

The European Commission published its Proposal for a revision of the so-called 'third package' (EU Regulations 2407/92, 2408/92 and 20409/92) in July 2006.
Following the European Parliament's First Reading opinion, the Transport Council will soon adopt its Common Position on the matter.
In this Position Paper, the 37 leisure airline members of the International Air Carrier Association (IACA) reject an amendment concerning 'wet-leasing' that has been suggested by some Member States. IACA has serious doubts about the legality of this proposed wording.
