Operations

IACA is currently working on a number of issues related to both ground and flight operations. Please see below for the current issues.

In addition, the ACAS committee (Aviation Charges & Standards Committee) monitors and follows up on issues at airports where IACA members are most active. The CAFO committee (Committee on ATM & Flight Operations) monitors and follows up on issues in Air Traffic Management/Flight Dispatch as well as Flight Operations, e.g. Airport-CDM, PBN Implementation…

Missions to specific destinations are organised and focus primarily on ensuring safe, economical, fair and secure operations for passengers, staff and equipment. Prior to each mission, IACA members are asked to give their input in order to draft the agenda. Issues can be addressed to IACA’s Manager Ground Operations and/or Manager Flight Operations.

The most recent mission was in March 2012 to Athens, Greece to meet with the Hellanic Civil Aviation Authority to discuss a number of ground and flight operations issues.  More details can be found below.

IACA has also working very closely with the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authorities and a dedicated team at Eurocontrol to both support and facilitate an improvement of air traffic management for flights to and from Greece, an important destination for IACA members.   More details can be found below,
